Dean Mitchell Wall Art

Dean Mitchell was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up in Quincy, Florida. He started working on art at a very tender age. He’s well known for his still lifes, landscapes and figurative works. Mitchell graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to watercolors, he is accomplished in other mediums, including pastels, oils and egg temperas. The artist has been featured in numerous publications, including Christian Science Monitor, the New York Times, Artist Magazine, American Artist, Art News and Fine Art International. His subjects are largely derived from African-American culture. His artwork has been the subject of numerous articles, and his life has been discussed in an illustrated book for children. He is represented by E&S Gallery in Louisville, Kentucky, Astoria Fine Art in Jackson, Wyoming, Medicine Man Gallery, in Tucson, Arizona, and J. Willott Gallery in Palm Desert, California.

His art can be found in museum and corporate collections across the country, including: Mississippi Museum of Art, Jackson, Mississippi; Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, Missouri; etc. he has been in this business for many years and has a huge following of fans who are always on the lookout for his new pieces of art. His art is highly priced by many collectors in large numbers because they are in great demand.
