Paris Gerrard has an undeniable combination of a beautiful free spirit, unwavering passion, and natural talent. She was born in Utah, Paris and she spent most of her early years growing up on the island of Kauai. As a young girl, she used to watch both her grandmother and her mother paint, which eventually inspired the young Paris to try it for herself. With two other sisters, while being raised in a Buddhist household, she learned at an early age to always listen to her instinct, and by doing so Paris has been able to live out her dream as an artist. She held her first solo art show by the time she was 16. This ended up being the launching pad for her artistic career and a turning point in her life. She realized that people were willing to buy her art, so she decided she was going to pour her soul and heart completely into her work.
She decided that she wasn’t going to let anything stop her from becoming a full time artist. Paris insisted on being home schooled because she felt conventional schooling would interfere with her creative learning processes. She still attributes her home schooling to her success. By the time she completed her home schooling, she had started to master her skills as an artist and she was lucky to receive a full scholarship to Westminster College. She specialized in oil paints, but has also taken a keen interest in graphic art. This has helped drive her success even further after her graduation.
