Brian Martin is a graphic/web designer, an illustrator, a muralist, and a decorative artist. He obtained his BFA from Rhode Island School of Design specializing in illustration. He later proceeded to Indiana University of Pennsylvania for his MFA in Drawing and Painting. He has taught color/2D-design, painting and drawing at I.U.P. He is currently teaching painting, illustration and drawing at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, MA. Martin was a resident artist at the Johnstown Bottleworks in Johnstown. Here, he worked in the curation of an exhibition of work by national and international painters called the "Calm Americans." He has exhibited his art nationally from Texas to New England and internationally in Australia. Martin is represented by Principle gallery in Alexandria, VA.
In 2008, he participated in the select 4-person exhibition at the Maryland Art Place in Baltimore, MD. Martin is a founding member of The Broad Street Studio which curated a twenty-five person exhibition at Principle Gallery in Alexandria, VA. The exhibition was featured in New American Art Collector Magazine in their January 2010 issue. He has participated in many other solo and group exhibitions. Martin was featured in the Poets and Artists Magazine in their March/April 2010 issue. In the meantime, Martin continues search for venues in which to exhibit, to paint, and enjoy life with his son, Elliott, and wife, Amy in Providence, RI. Martin’s art is highly priced by many renowned collectors and can be found in many art galleries, museums, institutions, and homes throughout the world.
