Robin Hall (Born in 1962) was born in Belfast a region that really inspired his art. His studies and corresponding career as an illustrator, cartoonist and author have had a perceptible influence on his fine art paintings. This can be seen in his choice of fantastical scenes and subjects and use of color which tend to offer not only hints toward a story or tale, but also stimulation for the viewers’ imagination. Apart from his career as a fine artist, his paintings and illustrations have been reproduced as both greeting cards and limited edition prints, and they sell internationally. Additionally, quite a number of his images are licensed to many major publishing houses throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. The artist has exhibited extensively in the North of Ireland. He’s also a regular exhibitor at McSwiggan Galleries, the Hamill, O'Connor and the PortstewART galleries.
In November 2004, Hall began to exhibit with the Oisìn Gallery and he experienced great success during that year’s Annual Christmas Exhibition. He currently works and lives in his native Belfast. His new works were on exhibit throughout 2005 and they are still on exhibition in many leading galleries. Today, he’s an artist and care giver who works in various media including pen and ink, colored pencils, watercolor, and oils. His favorite subjects are landscapes from near his home. He also enjoys drawing pets and wildlife. He finds painting to be a great way to unwind and relax. When not painting or caring, he volunteers at his local gallery, go walking or play guitar. He’s recently begun teaching watercolor.
