Scott Lee is an artist from Denver. In 2009, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and Illustration from California State Fullerton. His aspiration was to become a children's book illustrator - or something along those lines. After his graduation, Lee has worked for visual development, album art, skateboard graphics, as well as major clothing labels, in both digital and traditional media. He also enjoys showing his paintings in galleries when an opportunity arises. Right now he’s currently living and working in Fullerton, California. Lee learnt to be responsible from an early age and he started painting and drawing at that early age. He liked to do things by himself and at the time of his graduation, he had gained significant recognition for his artistic talent. Once he started working seriously in art he started getting commissions and freelance work on a regular basis.
His play of texture, light and dark and delicate tones deliver an understanding and temperament to his subject matter that draws the viewer to stop and take a longer look. The artist has spent a lot of time studying trends so that he can remain relevant and effectively satisfy his clients’ needs. Today his art has found its way into many prestigious galleries, museums, institutions and homes around the world. Lee loves art and says while working on a piece of art, he feels like he’s in his own little world - a world where nothing else matters. This little world is that of a realist, creating finely detailed paintings that are often mistaken for photos.
