Arthur Bernard Wall Art

Artist Arthur Bernard was born in Malines, Belgium, but he moved to The United States of America and France and finally settled down in The Netherlands. He has been painting full time for over 20 years. Working as a fulltime artist has allowed him to travel all over the world to meet people and fellow artists and also in search of ideas. Bernard says that an artist should have the spontaneity of a child and the perfection of a surgeon. Bernard paints in acrylic and oil and the mixed media technique, using newspaper, collage charcoal, and more! The elements that he consciously leave open in his work offer all viewers the margin for captivating interpretations. His paintings are not made in the front of the object; they are paintings of the memories.

He says that “it’s like taking the picture on a walk and continually getting lost and then finding the way again.” Bernard studied at The Academy of Fine Arts, Malines Belgium. His art has been to many exhibitions and can be found in many galleries including. Hartman & Hartman Gallery NL, Galerie Esprit Clinge NL, Galerie Athenaeum Genve/Founex, CH, Irok Gallery Horst/Venlo NL, The Gallery, The Hague NL, Agora Gallery New York, Galerie Trac Maastricht NL, Galerie Ginneken Berda NL, Galerie De Pook NL, and many others. With a style and an approach completely personal, Bernard is distinguished as an artist. It is therefore also not surprising that he has conquered a place within a large group of admirers of the contemporary art.
