Willy Richardson Wall Art

Willy Richardson (Born 1974) is a painter whose work suggests gravity, linear movement, and the point in time at which action, material and artist combine. He loves colors and uses them to effectively bring his subjects to life. He received his MFA in painting from Pratt Institute in 2000. He exhibits his art internationally and is a faculty member as Santa Fe University of Art and Design where he also teaches. In 2011 his work was included in “70 Years of Abstract Painting – Excerpts,” an exhibition at Jason McCoy Gallery in New York. The show assembled works by a selection of contemporary and modern painters, including Jackson Pollock, Josef Albers, and Hans Hofmann. In 2012 Richardson showed his artwork in an exhibition dubbed "Watercolors" in Chelsea, New York at the Phillips de Pury headquarters. His vision and work was featured in PBS weekly arts series COLORES on the KNME-TV.

Richardson is represented by Turner Carroll in Santa Fe and Richard Levy Gallery in Albuquerque. His selected solo exhibitions include Clockwork for Oracles, Richard Levy Project Room, Albuquerque NM, and Willy Bo Richardson, LaunchProjects, Santa Fe, NM.
