Pip McGarry Wall Art

Pip McGarry is professional artist recognized as one of the leading wildlife artists in the world. He has an international reputation for his oil paintings of African game and big cats. McGarry is a self-taught wildlife artist with an international standing. Since 1998 he has been at Marwell Zoological Park in Hampshire as the Artist-in-Residence, and is the Chairman and founder of Marwell International Wildlife Art Society, which is the largest wildlife art society in Europe. This has also helped to raise his profile. For some years now, the artist has led camping safaris for photographers and artists into the remote game reserves of Northern Botswana. Just recently, he took a group of 19 adventurers to explore Okavango Delta and the Kalahari. He has also traveled widely and has lived both in the Far East and Central America. McGarry conducts regular field research trips abroad to study the habitat and wildlife in Southern and Eastern Africa.

More than 20 of his pictures have been sold successfully at Christies International auctions. Many of McGarry’s paintings have been published in magazines and as limited edition prints by leading fine art companies. McGarry has recently joined Sally Mitchell Fine Art Ltd, the famous United Kingdom publisher. He has an art teaching film that he produced and presented at Marwell Zoological Park on location. The film is an hour-long instructional painting DVD and video for Teaching Art Ltd. McGarry was filmed on location in Kenya in 2004 and at Marwell Zoological Park. He has organized and led more than 25 safaris for photographers and wildlife artists.
