Rosanne Kaloustian has been a passionate artist all of her life. Her dedication and talent earned her full scholarship to the National Academy of Design in New York City. She was very successful in her studies and as a result she received the Suydam Gold Medal award. Her landscapes, portraits, and still lifes have earned her a great deal of acclaim. During her artistic studies, she traveled widely in Europe. This was a part of her independent studies program, and it inspired her artistic passions and style even further. She decided to begin a career as an illustrator and fine artist after these travels. The artist has exhibited her work across the country, including at the Museum of American Illustration, the National Academy of Fine Arts, and at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Through her unique sense of light and color, she strives to communicate emotions first and then the pieces and bits of a particular subject. Her art has found its way into widely-circulated magazines including Woman’s Day, Redbook and Reader’s Digest. Her work has been described as an attempt to communicate things to which words can not communicate by a lifetime member of the Graphic Artists Guild and the Art Students League. In art there is only one thing of value - that which words can not explain. Rosanne’s works project a feeling of tranquility and warmth. She’s currently exhibiting her art at the Nassau County Museum of Art at many other galleries and art shows across the country and beyond.
