Anne Seay was born and raised in North Carolina. She currently lives and works in Wilmington, NC - United States. Ever since she was walking and picking up a crayon at a young age she’s been an artist. She likes to illustrate the world and images around her in an expressionistic way. Anne holds a Bachelor of art degree in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After her graduation she got involved in doing a lot of commissioned work while at the same time working a job and raising a family. Anne can't remember a life without creating. She has dabbled in all mediums of art but currently she has been doing a lot of work with acrylic paintings. She considers her art to be abstracted realism, because it reflects how she sees the world. The contours, colors and hues she sees she wants to share in her art.
Though she has a B.A of Studio Art, she considers herself to be self-taught. Her career as an artist so far has been selling commissioned work to customers through referrals and through the internet. Her natural talent for portraits are the bestselling pieces but she wants to take a venture past portraits. Today she lives with her family, her husband and two beautiful girls, in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has participated in many art exhibitions where her art has received positive reviews. This is a great source of inspiration for her. She’s willing to take any form of art project, regardless of its complexity.
