Tan Chun Wall Art

Tan Chun was born in Canton, China. His love for art began when he was very young. He began his art studies in China but immigrated to America in 1974 before completing his studies. He continued and completed his studies at the Art Student's League in New York. His longtime exploration of both the Chinese and American arts broadened his horizon and has also influenced his personal philosophy. Therefore, his main focus is the delicate combination of the contemporary painting techniques and essential qualities of traditional realism. As a widely travelled artist, many subjects inspire his work. Whether painting a seascape, landscape, floral or still life there is an unsurpassed admiration for the beauty and peace of the world of nature that is reflected in all of his paintings.

Chun constantly challenges himself by incorporating his personal observations into his work, this has resulted in an individual style, all his own. His paintings hang in numerous corporate and personal collections throughout the world. He resides in New Jersey with his wife Anna and their two children. Chun is accomplished in a wide range of media, and persistently challenges his mastery of printmaking, watercolor and oil. Chun paints mainly from observation and uses his art as a means of expressing his feelings to his viewers. He loves art and while painting, he doesn’t feel like he is working. His pieces of artwork are much sought after by both private and corporate collectors because they are available in a variety of finishing options.
