Alexander says one day he really loved the way the sunlight shone through the murky green water onto the backs of the manatees and onto the sandy bottom of the river. He had such a great time and was so impressed with the large animals that when he came home he wanted to put the whole experience down on canvas. That’s how his work in art began.
