Constance Bachmann Wall Art

For Constance Bachmann, the biggest challenge with his style is not to overwork the painting. He’s been steadily steering away from still life as a subject matter. This includes his gradual attempt to give up some control and allow the under painting to show through in more areas and not to be as exact with knife strokes. Though he’s still not fully comfortable with abstraction, the artist prefers to carefully treat his ‘live’ subjects like a still life. He places them purposely surrounded by an abstracted field to allow the subject itself to be the only attraction, more or less suspended on the background. His exhibitions include Anne Neilson Fine Art, Sopa Fine Art, Shepard Gallery, Stephen Lowe Art Gallery, Assiniboia Gallery , Assiniboia Gallery, Artym gallery, Hambleton Gallery, Hambleton Gallery, White Rock Gallery, Simon Patrich Gallery, Tutt St Gallery, Pure Art Gallery, Sarah Dobbs Gallery, and Artym Gallery.

Bachmann wants to keep exploring the connection between his viewer and the subject; and to subtly remind the viewer to celebrate the role that dogs (man’s best friend) play in their lives. In this way, Bachmann has attempted to convey emotion and compassion in his dog series. Bachmann studied at Okanagan College in Kelowna BC, and at Langara College in Vancouver BC. In both colleges, he enrolled in the Fine Arts programs. His art is in many collections and are highly priced by many discriminating collectors. This is because they can be used for decorative purposes and they are also inspiring, more so to the upcoming artists.
