Lisa Snow Lady Wall Art

Lisa Snow Lady’s love of travel has taken her across Western Europe, and they have greatly inspired her work, and in the places he has visited, it is the architecture that she’s most drawn to. She creates watercolor sketches. Filling journals with red tiled roofs, colorful domes, and Islamic mosques, mingling with palms, is what makes her feel satisfied. She also finds inspiration in her native Pacific Northwest. The neighborhood street scenes are of particular interest to her, and also the places where the sea and the structures meet, and also the play of light and shadow on surfaces. Her artist influencers include Richard Diebenkorn, Vermeer (for his exquisite use of genre subjects and color), and the Abstract Expressionists of the Bay Area (for walking the line between representational and abstract), and the many writings of L’Engle Madeline on making the ordinary sacred.

With simple shapes, acrylics and other art materials, she captures the beauty that she finds in the ordinary objects and places that are often ignored. Lisa Snow holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. She’s also a holder of the Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art Art History. She has exhibited at Kirkland, WA, University Unitarian Church, Seattle, Langley, WA, Johnston Architects PLLC, Fraker/Scott Gallery, Seattle, ArtReach Gallery, Minneapolis, MN, Museo, Langley, WA, Edmonds Conference Center, and Edmonds Arts Festival Museum, among others. Lisa art is a source of inspiration to many upcoming and even established artists.
