Paul Mathenia Wall Art

Born in Bakersfield California, Paul Mathenia (Born in 1946) began to draw in 3-point perspective at the age of six. He’s the eldest of three boys and his artistic talent was discovered at a very early age. Many people who surrounded him noticed his talent and they encouraged and supported him. At the age of 7 he was already drawing beautiful images of cars and airplanes. Mathenia knew that he would become a professional artist. He attended High School in Huntington Beach California after which he went to a variety of southern California schools and colleges where he studied commercial and fine arts before plunging himself into the world of art. His art is admired by many and he has participated in many art competitions and won several awards. Mathenia moved to Oregon in 1980 because he liked the cooler climate there.

While in Oregon staging a one man show, he met Linda who later became his wife. Today, the artist boasts a huge following of fans that are always on the lookout for his new releases. In his paintings he uses Acrylic medium which he likes because of its versatility and ease of use. Much of his work is influenced by his childhood experiences and the people he met, the places he visited, as well as the training he got from the colleges he attended. He continues to produce high quality work that sell in large numbers. His art can be found in many galleries and collections around the world.
