Rial Wall Art

Born in Montevideo, artist Rial (Born in 1936) was a Uruguayan painter who taught in the paint shop of the School of Arts and Crafts of the University of Uruguay. He graduated from the National School of Fine Arts) in 1960, Here he studied engraving, drawing, and painting. He recorded with Longing Hernández and continued his studies with Jonio Montiel, a prominent student of Master Joaquin Torres Garcia. Numerous works by Rial have been sold at auction, including one titled 'The Orchestra' which was sold in 2001 at “20th Century British Art”, Christie's South Kensington. He held solo exhibitions in Cochabamba, Art Gallery, Club Ancap and Santa Catalina, and group exhibitions in Montevideo at People's Hall, Medical Union, Club Ancap, and Fair Books and Prints. The artist died in 2001. He produced many pieces of art that are still in great demand.
