Ron Di Scenza Wall Art

Ron Di Scenza (Born in 1954) was born in Ohio. He has a last name that’s fitting his career. Conoscenza means awareness or knowledge, and a knowing sense of familiarity comes through his canvases. This gives his images special significance and meaning. He expresses his deep understanding of human nature in the body language and faces of his images, much like Diego Velasquez, the Spanish painter, and his ability to report life as it is reflects the works of John Singer Sergeant, the American painter. Especially exciting, his detailed realism is on par with Johannes Vermeer's (Flemish painter), while the spiritfulness of his subjects brings to mind Michelangelo Caravaggio, the renowned Italian artist. Di Scenza carries on the powerful painting traditions in the 21st century. This is his way of connecting the classics with today's fast paced, modern world.

He has to adapt to the modern world because it’s the classics that shaped him at an early age. The artist is marveled by the traits of humanity that are always universal, relevant and span the centuries. When he paints, the artist tries to continue with the great painting methods and techniques that came before him. At the same time, he seeks to create the propinquity of the here and now through the one-of-a-kind spirit of the person he’s painting. Thinking from a larger perspective, he believes that today people need something to believe in, something they can recognize. They want quality and respect skill. He studied art at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
