Debbie McMaster spent a lot of time with her maternal grandparents who had a cabin in Northern Michigan. His grandfather was a designer and builder of cabins, so he helped others around the lake with building their cabins. Debbie loved drawing since she could pick up a pencil. She also loved to ride the boats that her grandfather built. Her other hobbies included quilting, camping, crocheting, sewing, traveling and above all, painting. She could paint whenever she had a free time and could paint on anything she could lay her hands on - lamp shades, wood, tin, stones, slate, and more.
Her passion for art made her to start painting gifts for her family and friends. As people continued to notice the quality of her work, Debbie started receiving orders, and people began recommending her art. She also started exhibiting her works at art and craft shows. Her husband supported her by cutting wood for her. They also travelled together to many states that inspired her artwork. Debbie now spends time at her drawing board painting, and she loves every minute of it. She holds a degree in commercial art and graphic arts. Debbie is presently working with Art Licensing International as her licensing agent. She works in diverse media, but mainly acrylic on canvas. However, she loves colored pencil, markers, and watercolors. Sometimes she uses a couple in one picture. Her artwork pieces have been made into fleece throws, Christmas boxes, Christmas cards, mugs and a lot more. She counts herself blessed to have been signed by Applejack Art Partners.
