MusicDreamerArt was founded by Don White, an artist who describes himself as a “re-emerging” visual artist. Intuitively emotive expression, strong color statements and pure expression are what drive White’s art. The artist is fascinated by how music and sound relate to color ….he likes to draw not what he sees with his eyes, but what he hears in his mind. By night he creates visual images with pen and ink over watercolor in multiple layers and washes, by day he sells tactical gear to law enforcement agencies. Fans of his works say that his images evoke a mood of good feelings and strike an emotional tone. In his style, White blends pen and ink over, and then under he puts watercolor with multiple washes, he then adds light elements and simple lines into a field of abstract…..or what he thinks Spacetime might look like if it could actually be seen.
He has now stopped exhibiting but never stopped painting. White served on the Board of Directors of Woodbury Fine Arts Counsel for 2 years, and was a member of the Bloomington Center for the Arts. Through MusicDreamerArt, he has created a unique style of his own, a style that brings together the elements of art into a perfect balance. Today, his paintings stand out in crowd because they give life to his subjects giving them a fresh new look. His paintings are characterized by colors not necessarily found in nature. White has continued to use the outdoors to inspire a huge collection of his work. He produces high quality works because he developed an early affinity for painting and drawing.
