Canadian born artist, Rita Vindedzis came to realize her love for art very early in life. She was inspired by the ingenuity that seemed to pervade virtually every aspect of family life. She began to pursue her own artistic dreams through formal studies, but the true nature of her unique style always comes naturally. Her landscapes come alive through acrylic on canvas; this is the medium that she fell in love with and still holds onto– an inspiring and warm combination of what she has seen is depicted well through acrylics, and what she sees in the natural world around us gives her the reason to continue with her work. The landscapes that she paints in her studio are inspirational and they are painted from photographs she takes during drives and walks through the countryside during family trips. However, there are some that she creates purely from memory.
Open fields and big skies, a large expanse of beach, grazing sheep and meandering streams are some of her favorite themes. Each of her artwork is a soft-focus moment in time. Rita’s art has appeared in Style at Home Magazine, Canadian House and Home Magazine, Décor Magazine, and on national television programs including Designer Guys Design Inc. and, CityLine, and is found in numerous corporate and private collections. She has been working as a professional artist for more than 10 years. She dedicates herself to painting in her studio full time. She has exhibited in Paula White Diamond Gallery, The Red Head Gallery, Art Interiors, Toronto, Arta Gallery, Toronto, Artstream Gallery, Rochester, Leonardo Gallery, The Artist Project, and Marten Arts Gallery, Bayfield, among others.
