Ingrid Abery Wall Art

Ingrid Abery (Born in late 1960s) was born in London but grew up in Sussex. She spent her by the sea, and she often painted and photographed it, and her artistic career thus began at a very young age and progressed towards stone carving and even sculpting. Her photographic inspirations include Herb Ritts, Bert Hardy, Bill Brandt, and Man Ray, but her own approach to photography involves what she refers to as "sculpting with form and light.” Ingrid holds a degree in Sculpture/ Fine Art and Photography from the Bath Academy of Art, but her first love has always been the sea, and she has remained an active windsurfer, water sports player, swimmer and sailor, as well as a regular "hand" on classic and modern racing yachts. Ingrid endeavors to add extra dimensions to her work by utilizing light and shape, extreme angles, and lenses.

Describing herself as a nautical journalist and photographer, Ingrid has exhibited throughout the UK and her work has been featured in numerous nautical magazines around the world. Ingrid loves what she does and her works are able to speak for themselves, attracting clients not only from London, but also from around the world. She doesn’t fear to try different techniques and styles when working on a particular job. She approaches each painting experimentally and is usually amazed by the variety of influences on the final result. Ingrid has participated in many art exhibitions and her work can be found in many private and public collections throughout the world. Her art often incorporate selected elements from paintings that she admires.
